As you are probably aware, June 1, 2009 General Motors filed for a
court supervised bankruptcy with assistance from the Presidential Task
Force and the U.S. Treasury.
What does this mean for us and most importantly for you, our loyal
customers?
Pending approvals, the New GM is expected to emerge in about 60 to 90
days as a separate and independent company built from only GM's best
brands and operations. The New GM will be Leaner, Greener, Faster
and Smarter. Fewer and stronger brands, fewer and stronger models, better
fuel efficiency, and new technologies. This recent announcement isn't
about going out of business; it is about getting down to business. It
is unfortunate, however, that thousands of auto dealerships will not
survive the reshaping of the American auto industry.
But Simpson Buick Pontiac GMC will continue to do business in
partnership with the New GM Corporation. Simpson Buick was
started by in 1951, in the City of Southgate, CA. In 2000, David Simpson
moved the store from Fullerton and Downey to its current location in
the Buena Park Auto Center and became a Buick Pontiac GMC dealer. We
are here to honor our commitment to our customers by providing the best
quality and value in our Company's history. Please be assured that it
is safe to own and buy a new Buick Pontiac or GMC vehicle. As a matter
of fact, consumer confidence is getting stronger every day as evidenced
by our nearly 50% sales increase in May 2009 compared to the prior
month. Simpson Buick Pontiac GMC has plenty of vehicles to sell and
